XAVIER REUNIONS IN AUSTRALIA

I know of exactly 6 former Xavier teachers who are here in Australia : me and Edge, Oli Mangahas and Christine Gonzales-Berridge in Sydney; Mavic Queja in Queensland; and Baby Sison-Simpliciano in Melbourne. Well, 'tis the season for reunions because Oli and family are now in Queensland visiting Mavic, and last night, Baby, Christine, Edge and I got together for dinner at Christine's house.

Mary Jean (Christine's daughter), Baby, moi, Edge, Christine and David (Christine's son)

Baby and Gino (Baby's husband) are here in Sydney to attend the wedding of Gino's cousin. Also, practically his whole family is here from Manila. It was so good to see them again. The last time I saw them was when they were still in Manila, which was ages ago!

We had such a good dinner. There was so much food that we all felt that we would have to roll home. Christine prepared prawns, a salad, roasted chicken and garlic bread. I brought my quiche and fruit salad. Phil, Christine's husband, prepared a Trifle for dessert, which is very similar to Crema de Fruta. Everything was so good but by the end of the night, we were stuffed!

We all agreed that all of us look the way we looked when we were all in Xavier. Actually, I think I look better NOW! Christine really doesn't look like she gave birth just one year ago!!!

Here are some more pictures taken last night:

Mary Jean flirted with Edge all evening. She'd hold his hand, sit on his lap and smile at him with twinkling eyes. She also gave Gino the same treatment. Kanino kaya nagmana?

David naman seemed mesmerized with me. When we entered their house, David looked at me with a big smile, and he started clapping his hands.

Christine's kids just love being with other people, and Baby was no exception. The kids pulled her into their room to play with the tea set.

We exited Christine's door a little past 11 pm, but Baby, Gino, Edge and I spent a few more minutes outside, still talking. The last time Baby and Gino saw Christine and Phil was at their wedding 4 years ago. Hopefully it won't take that long for the 3 families to get together again.
